Friday Photos: Curb Appeal is My Nectar

It's photo Friday and we've got some great pictures and some photo-challenged houses.  Let's get to two house photos that I love and adore first.  These next pictures aren't necessarily great because of  photographic expertise, but because of their curb appeal.

The red window boxes in the photo below match the red stairs and door.  The fresh white trim and the green really don't look Christmasie, but I'll bet this home is just beautiful during the holidays!

Next is a boxie looking home, but check out the hanging baskets filled with flowers, the flower box ont he window, and the pretty landscaping.  If there was any criticissm it's the hose just laying there, but everything else is just adorable.  I'm working with a buyer who looks at house pictures and says about the ones she really likes, "I just want to make out with it!"  Me too, friend.  Me too.

Balancing great curb appeal with some not-so-great, we have this jungle picture.  The yellow notice on the door doesnt' help much.

Not only will the bad curb appeal on this one keep nosey people away with it's bad dog sign, but it'll also keep away potential buyers.  Yikes.

Another home with decent curb appeal ... the shrubbery is trimmed and not blocking the sidewalk.

I'd like to see more flowers in the photo above, but at least the shrubbery doesn't have this wild look where a buyer won't be able to walk up the sidewalk without dodging bushes.

Finally, I generally don't like photos with people but this one definitely pulled me in.  I wanted to see where the little boy lives.

Here's where he lives... please please please please please. When you're ready to sell, box up and store clutter (and "Seasons Greetings" rugs in May).

    Have a great weekend!
